Modern indoor shooting ranges face a triad of challenges: lighting interference, cabling complexity, and the need for instant, reliable feedback. At Azimuth PRO, we designed the Smart Target Camera System (STCS) to solve all three with a single Edge IoT device.

The Edge Advantage

Unlike traditional systems that stream raw video to a central server (choking bandwidth and adding latency), STCS processes everything on-device.

  • Zero-Latency API: The device calculates hit coordinates locally and sends lightweight JSON data to your server instantly.
  • Visual Proof: It automatically generates and uploads a high-res image of the target with the hit marked, providing definitive visual evidence for every shot.

Indoor ranges are hostile environments for computer vision. We engineered STCS to thrive where standard cameras fail.

1. Anti-Flicker Technology

Artificial lighting (LED/Fluorescent) creates invisible strobing that confuses standard motion sensors. STCS uses a software-locked shutter synchronized to the grid frequency, effectively "freezing" the light to ensure consistent, artifact-free detection.

2. Redundant Reliability

Bullets destroy targets. That's the point. But it shouldn't break your tracking. STCS utilizes a Redundant ArUco Marker system. It tracks 6 reference points on the target but needs only 4 to maintain a lock. This means the session continues uninterrupted even if a shooter accidentally destroys up to 30% of the tracking markers.

3. Precision Optics

Equipped with a 12 MP Wide-Angle Sensor, the device sits safely 1.5m from the target line (offset by 30°), keeping expensive hardware out of the direct line of fire while capturing the entire target area with sub-millimeter precision.

Integration & Connectivity

We believe in "Plug and Play" for defense infrastructure.

  • Single Cable Power: Powered via PoE+ (802.3at), requiring only one Ethernet cable for both power and data.
  • Auto-Discovery: Boots as a DHCP client and immediately broadcasts its availability.
  • Open API: Acts as a standard HTTP client, pushing data to any endpoint you define.

Complete Ecosystem: More Than Just Hardware

We provide a turn-key solution that goes beyond the edge device. The system includes a flexible server backend (Local, Cloud, or Hybrid) and a rich client application featuring:

  • Real-Time Scoring: Instant feedback and hit counting.
  • Leaderboards: Competitive rankings for groups and tournaments.
  • Visual Verification: A gallery browser to review high-res target images.
  • AI Performance Analysis: Post-session, a dedicated AI Agent analyzes grouping consistency and split times to generate a detailed performance report for every shooter.
