01 / THE MACHINE
BASILISK - the EngineAI T800 humanoid robot in a fighting stance

BASILISK. A STANDARD BODY. AN UNCOMMON BRAIN.

Our unit of the EngineAI T800 - the identical platform every URKL team fields. Everything above the actuators is ours: perception, balance, and the will to keep standing.

The league forbids hardware modifications, structural changes, and weapons. What remains is the purest competition in robotics: same body, different minds. This page is the machine on paper - and the software that makes it ours.

02 / The League

URKL - ULTIMATE ROBOT KNOCK-OUT LEGEND.

The context our machine is built for: the world's first commercialized free-combat league for full-size autonomous humanoids, organized by Shenzhen-based EngineAI.

01

First of its kind

Debuted on 16 July 2026 at the Nanshan Cultural and Sports Center in Shenzhen - full-size humanoids in free combat, fully autonomous, in front of a live audience.

SHENZHEN · JULY 2026

02

One platform for all

Every team receives an identical EngineAI T800. Hardware modifications, structural changes, and weapons are prohibited - the league is a software competition by design.

T800 ONLY · NO MODS

03

A global grid

32 finalist teams qualified from more than 200 registrations worldwide, including Stanford, UC Berkeley, Tsinghua, Zhejiang University, and the University of Hong Kong.

32 TEAMS · 200+ REGISTRATIONS

04

The prize

A 10-million-yuan prize pool - roughly 1.48 million USD - and a solid-gold championship belt. The 2026 season runs in three phases from July to December.

10M CNY · GOLD BELT

04 / In Motion

THE MACHINE IN MOTION.

Spec tables do not throw punches. This is the T800 platform under load - training footage from EngineAI, the same hardware that will walk out for us in Season 2.

Every motion here is a controller output, not a keyframe. Balance, footwork, and guard run on the same class of policies we are training for BASILISK.

05 / Where we compete

THE FIGHT IS WON IN SOFTWARE.

The hardware is the same for everyone - four software domains decide every exchange. This is Azimuth PRO's ground.

01

Motion Control

Whole-body trajectories computed in real time - strikes, evasions, and recoveries executed across 29 degrees of freedom simultaneously, composed from a library of learned movements.

02

Balance Under Impact

Staying upright while being hit is the sport's hardest problem. Our controllers absorb contact, redistribute load, and counter-step before a stumble becomes a knockdown.

03

Perception

LiDAR sweeps and stereo vision fused into a single millisecond-fresh model of the opponent: position, stance, momentum, and the attack that hasn't landed yet.

04

Autonomous Tactics

No remote control, no human in the loop. The machine selects openings, manages its energy budget, and commits to exchanges entirely on its own.

06 / The Combat System

KRAV MAGA, REBUILT FOR A MACHINE.

Our fighting doctrine starts from Krav Maga - a system built for survival, not sport - and re-engineers it around what a machine does better than any human: mechanics, speed, and movement that follows no instinct. We are developing it together with Europe's leading Krav Maga instructors.

01

Why Krav Maga

No forms, no rituals, no wasted motion. Krav Maga optimizes for ending an exchange - defense and counterattack in the same beat. Of every human fighting system, it is the one closest to how an autonomous machine should fight.

PRINCIPLES · NOT CHOREOGRAPHY

02

Built with Europe's best

We develop the system side by side with Europe's top Krav Maga instructors. Their techniques are motion-captured, decomposed into joint trajectories, and rebuilt inside the BASILISK movement library - then hardened over thousands of simulated fights.

INSTRUCTOR CADRE · MOTION CAPTURE

03

Mechanical, not human

A machine feels no pain, protects no chin, and never flinches. We strip out every reflex that exists to keep a human body safe and keep only what wins the exchange - postures and angles no coach would teach a person.

NO PAIN RESPONSE · NO GUARD BIAS

04

Strange by design, fast by nature

29 degrees of freedom without human range limits produce movement that reads as wrong to an opponent trained on human data. Delivered at millisecond reaction time, unorthodox stops being a style - it becomes the advantage.

UNORTHODOX ANGLES · MILLISECOND TIMING

07 / Roadmap

THE ROAD TO THE RING.

Three milestones between the workshop and the first walkout.

01

Build & Training

Simulation-first development in Europe: thousands of simulated fights before the first real one, transferred to hardware in weekly test cycles.
